Aerojet Rocketdyne, a major space and defense company specializing in space propulsion, defense and armaments, is currently seeking an experienced Test Technician to join our hi-reliability electronics area. This is a day shift position that typically works Mondays-Thursdays from 5:30am to 4:00pm, but candidates must be willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet delivery schedules. Typical duties: Test high-reliability electronics products to specification. Ensure product conformance to specifications. Provide guidance and instruction to other employees regarding test assignments. This includes occasional training of others. Assist in the evaluation of new test equipment. Assist test engineering in the construction and modification of test fixtures. Requires an Associate's degree (or equivalent) and 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must be dependable, reliable and have the ability to work independently with little supervision. Requires the ability to read, follow and understand detailed written instructions, procedures, sketches, electrical schematics, diagrams, drawings and charts. Experience working in an area involving general electronic and printed circuit board testing, including the use of electronics testing equipment (such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and Data Acquisition Systems) are a must. Requires working knowledge of MIL Standard and industrial electronic component identification, part numbering and color coding conventions. Experience performing product thermal vacuum testing and component burn-in procedures are preferred. Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information.
